The University of Nottingham is a globally engaged university that is committed to making a difference by solving problems and improving lives. We are one University in many countries, having founded the first UK overseas campus in Malaysia in 2000 and the first UK university campus in China in 2004, as well as delivering off-campus courses and having offices around the world. Over 150 countries are currently represented by those who study and work with us, and we aim to engender a global mindset among our staff and students.
As a university without borders, our established campuses in three countries afford Nottingham a unique opportunity to explore what it means to be a leading British University not only at home but also abroad, conducting cutting edge research across more areas, and providing a quality UK higher education to many more students than would otherwise be possible. Whether it is collaborating on delivering solutions to global research challenges or co-delivering innovative taught programmes, we also strive to develop meaningful and productive partnerships with leading institutions across the globe.
Over half of our research outputs involve an international collaboration, and we have teaching partnerships with over fifty universities.
Nottingham is a founding member of the Russell Group of universities in the UK, and a member of Universitas 21 through which we continue to find new ways of collaborating across borders, such as the annual U21 Ingenuity Challenge.
Nottingham is in the top 100 universities worldwide*. We currently have over 46,000 students, including 11,500 at our international campuses, and over 9,000 overseas students at our UK campus.
