Dialogue 1: Technology and the F-word November 10th 9:00 –
10:30 am (GMT +2)
This session will be focused on threading out what are some of the key issues that link feminism and technology. First there will be three brief and strategic presentations regarding the objectives of the FTX, what a Feminist Practice of Technology is and how it connects with movement building. Speakers:
Dialogue 2: Hardwiring Communication Rights and Women's Rights November 11th 9:00am – 10:30am (GMT +2) This session will be centered on the intersections between the working/advocacy topics of the women that come to the FTX in relation to communications rights. Also, this was thought as a way to promote the strategic thought and use of technology in the women’s movement. Hence, we'll have 10 working spaces with break-out groups discussing on these issues and coming back to a final plenary where speakers will provide a final reflection on communication rights and violence against women, telecommunication policies, politics and access to knowledge. Dialogue 3: Interventions – women disrupting the system with technology November 12th 4:30pm – 6:30 pm (GMT +2) This session will set a background regarding how far we’ve come in the area of women’s rights and technology. Our invited speakers will present on women’s rights and technology, using the graphic timeline and placing the FTX as one of the milestones of this continuum that has contributed to the advancement of a feminist practice of technology. Also, it will be a space for participants to share their FTX experience in each of the training tracks. Speakers:
